As Vice President of Engineering, Tom Greiner is responsible for establishing the strategic vision of the Engineering Organization, identifying and implementing best practices, and ensuring the appropriate engineering skills are in place for designing, integrating, testing, and certifying Boom’s aircraft.
Tom began this 33 year aerospace career at the Boeing Commercial and supported the preliminary design of the 737-600, 737-700, 737-800, 767-400, and many other configurations under study. He then moved on to work at Lockheed Martin in Marietta on the C-130 and the P-3 until he began work at Gulfstream Aerospace that spanned twenty years. Tom was part of the small preliminary design team that developed the G280, G400, G450, G500, G550, G600, and the industry-changing G650 and G650ER, as well as multiple special mission variants and supersonic configurations. He joined Boom in 2020 to support Overture and is excited to be developing the supersonic commercial aircraft.
Tom graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering and received his Masters of Business Administration Degree from Mercer University. He is an aviation enthusiast and takes every opportunity to learn and experience the essence of flight, including taking a ride on a Ford Tri-Motor.
