As Director of Program Management, Tom leads the project scheduling and program management functions for Overture and has accountability for the development, industrialization, and certification of the aircraft. Tom brings 20 years of product development experience from both military and commercial aviation sectors to Boom’s leadership team.
Prior to Boom, Tom led programs in both technical and commercial capacities across the aerospace industry, including roles at GKN Aerospace, Hampson Aerospace, and Collins Aerospace. He joined Boom from Collins (formerly United Technologies), where he had P&L responsibility for business jet and commercial nacelle programs on Airbus, Embraer, and Dassault platforms. During that time, he also achieved a certification in Lean Transformation with a focus on business process optimization and cost reduction. Formerly, as a Project Engineer at Composites Horizons (division of Hampson), Tom led development and manufacturing of high temperature composite structures for commercial and military engine applications.
Tom earned a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from California State Polytechnic University and an M.S. in Aerospace Engineering from California State University, with a focus on composite structural analysis. He also received a diploma in executive management from UC San Diego. When he is not working, Tom enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and dogs, going to concerts, and traveling.
