As Boom’s Chief Technology Officer, Troy Follak leads the company’s technical organizations and is focused on the creation of new technology and its application to Boom’s products and services.
Prior to taking on the CTO role, Troy led the Program Management Office and Engineering, as well as the duty of Overture’s Chief Engineer at Boom.
Troy brings over three decades of experience to Boom’s engineering leadership team. During his two decades at Gulfstream, Troy held numerous positions from project engineer to projecting engineering director, and flight test engineering director to large cabin chief engineer. He has a variety of experience across the aviation industry including past roles such as program manager at Dassault Systems, avionics design engineer and flight test engineer on the C-130J program at Lockheed Martin, and systems engineer for Honeywell Air Transport.
Troy graduated from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. He holds an MBA from the University of North Carolina with a focus on international business, and is a graduate of the Darden Executive Leadership Program at the University of Virginia.
