Boom’s first supersonic airliner, Overture, is progressing toward production with orders and pre-orders from global airlines that include United Airlines, American Airlines, and Japan Airlines. XB-1, Boom’s supersonic demonstrator aircraft recently completed its inaugural flight, marking another major milestone toward the return of supersonic travel.
Boom is a closely-held private company. Boom backers include well-known investors and entrepreneurs, such as Y Combinator, Emerson Collective, Bessemer Venture Partners, and Prime Movers Lab — along with the founders and backers of renowned companies such as Google, Stripe, and Airbnb.
