As Vice President of Accounting, Shonn leads the accounting and financial reporting functions. Prior to joining Boom, Shonn was the Controller at Jagged Peak Energy, helping guide a high-growth organization from startup, through IPO and to successful sale. He provided critical leadership throughout Jagged Peak’s 6-year lifespan, overseeing a team with limited resources to become a successful public company.

Previously, Shonn headed up financial reporting and technical accounting at Berry Petroleum, where he made improvements in the quality and timeliness of SEC reporting. He began his career at KPMG, where he spent six years managing audit and consulting engagements for a variety of clients across multiple industries.

Shonn is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Colorado and earned a B.S. in Accounting and a Master of Accountancy (MAcc) from Brigham Young University. Outside of the office, Shonn enjoys traveling and spending time in the mountains with his wife and children.
