As Configuration Chief Engineer, Douglas leads the engineering team in the multidisciplinary strategic development of Overture. For the last four years, Douglas has led configuration management, assessing and integrating aerodynamic design with structural and system architecture.
Douglas has 20 years of experience in aircraft development from conception through certification, including over 10 years in commercial supersonic and business aircraft development. Prior to joining Boom, he worked in preliminary design and supersonic technologies at Gulfstream, powerplant systems at Cessna Aircraft Company, and system integration at L3 Communications. His experience includes development and certification of the XLS+, Citation Columbus, G500, G600, G700, G800, and other next-generation studies, as well as special mission platforms X-54, RC-135, P-3 Orion, C-20B, and Navy TRSA.
Douglas earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics Engineering from Purdue University. Outside of work, Douglas enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 kids, hiking, and volunteering with the local scout troop.
