Tom has more than 30 years of experience in civil airworthiness and certification. Before coming to Boom, he worked as a consulting engineer for Embraer in technical requirements for product certification as well as the Part 21 requirements for production. He contributed to the certification programs of the EMB-135BJ Legacy and Legacy Enhanced, ERJ 170/190 (the E1 series), ECJ Lineage 1000, and the ERJ 190-300/-400 (the E2 series), among others. In addition, he served as Embraer’s representative to various regulatory advisory groups such as the FAA ARAC Transport Airplane/Engine Issues Group, the EASA Executive Interiors Regulatory Working Group, and the FAA Airworthiness Directive Implementation Aviation Rulemaking Committee. Prior to Embraer, Tom worked for the FAA in the Atlanta Aircraft Certification Office as a flight test engineer and a program manager.
Tom has a Bachelors in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
